Mandela Day, held on July 18 each year, encourages everyone to give 67 minutes of their time in service of others. One minute for each year Nelson Mandela spent in public service. This year’s collaboration went far beyond the symbolic 67 minutes. It showed how collective action can bring real and lasting change to communities.

Led by Welcome Nomakroba from Delta Health & Safety, and supported by Signa Group and Invequity, an inspiring project provided essential sanitary supplies to female students at Tekwini Junior Secondary School in Mthalala Village, Port St. John’s. It addressed a crucial need and helped ensure that no young girl’s education is disrupted due to a lack of access to basic hygiene products. They can attend school with confidence. Small actions like this have a big impact, ensuring continuity in education and supporting overall well-being. This was more than a donation drive, it was a heartfelt expression of care, unity, and hope.
Welcome shared his gratitude with deep emotion:
“A heartfelt thank you to Signa and Invequity for your incredible contribution to our Mandela Day Initiative! I was truly moved. I almost shed a tear when I saw the bags filled with sanitary supplies. Your generosity will make a meaningful difference in the lives of so many young students. May God bless each and every one of you.”
Thank you kindly to everyone who contributed to our Mandela Day initiative!
