Dear Signarians,
We are writing to alert you of recent spear phishing attempt targeting our organisation
Spear phishing is a type of email/social media fraud where malicious actors (scammers) impersonate legitimate individuals or organisations. They may attempt to trick you into revealing confidential information or performing unauthorised actions, such as providing login credentials, credit card details, or other sensitive data.
In this particular case, the scammer impersonated Signa Group. Kindly see the screenshot below.

To protect yourself from being a victim of these types of attacks, please take the following precautions:
1. Verify the sender’s identity before responding to any emails;
2. Do not respond to any emails asking for confidential information;
3. Do not click on links or open attachments from suspicious emails;
4. Ensure that your two step authentication (2FA) is activated.
If you receive a suspicious email that appears to come from someone in Signa Group, do not reply to the email or click on any links. Instead, please forward the email to gene@signa.co.za / lerato@signa.co.za / ian@signa.co.za.
Thank you for your attention and cooperation in protecting our organisation from these types of cyber attacks.
