About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and creative Content Writer to join our training team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality, engaging, educational and informative content that supports our educational training programs and e-learning platform. This role requires a strong background in writing, a passion for education, instructional design knowledge and the ability to create content that caters to diverse learning styles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, English, Communications, Instructional Design, or a related field

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in digital content writing in the education, training and e-learning industry.

  • Proven experience in creating educational or training content.

  • Proven experience in creating engaging and interactive e-learning content.

Competencies & Skills

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.

  • Proficiency with content creation tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite) and e-learning platforms (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Moodle).

  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS

  • Basic understanding of H5P or similar is a plus.

  • Excellent research skills and the ability to quickly grasp complex topics.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Creative and innovative thinker.

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality content.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.

Duties & Responsibilities 

The duties include the following:

Content Development:

  • Create compelling and informative content for various educational training materials, including manuals, guides, e-learning modules, video scripts, and assessments.

  • Write clear, concise, and engaging copy that effectively conveys complex information.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather accurate information and ensure content relevance and accuracy.

  • Adapt content to different formats and platforms to meet the needs of various training programs.

Instructional Design:

  • Apply instructional design principles to develop content that enhances learning outcomes and retention.

  • Develop learning objectives and ensure content aligns with these goals.

  • Integrate multimedia elements (graphics, videos, quizzes) to create interactive and engaging training experiences.

Editing and Proofreading:

  • Review and edit content for clarity, grammar, and style consistency.

  • Ensure all content is error-free and adheres to the company’s quality standards and brand guidelines.

Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct research on relevant educational topics to ensure content accuracy and depth.

  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in educational content development.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with instructional designers, educators, graphic designers, and developers to create cohesive and comprehensive educational materials.

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the brainstorming and planning of new content.
