About the Role
The Business Growth Facilitator (BGF) is required to proactively develop and close new corporate business, maintain key relationships with existing and new customers, follow-up on leads, generate proposals for new business or proposals for the renewal of existing business and sell Signa Academy solutions to customers. The BGF reports into the Business Growth Manager and is part of the sales team.
Requirements
EDUCATION
o Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Sales or equivalent
o Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications
o Advanced knowledge of business development, marketing strategies, and brand expansion
o Driver Licence with own/reliable transport.
EXPERIENCE
o Experience with lead qualification at all levels within organizations – managers, directors,
executives
o Track record in new business development/ growing business through new sales Proven
track record of working with rapidly changing deadlines and having an ability to move in a
fast-paced environment
o At least 1 year of experience in a sales initiative or project
o Combination of private small business and corporate sales experience a plus
o At least 1years’ experience within the Transformation/BBBEE industry selling learnerships

Duties & Responsibilities
Sales
o Identify, research and developing new markets
o Identify and strategizes new or specific Sales opportunities for the business and execute on Sales plans.
o Network and establish new contacts through various mediums
o Develop, maintain and grow lead database
o Research organizations and individuals to find new opportunities
o Determine the needs of a customer and offer solutions to those needs through the company’s products or services
o Segment leads and design appropriate strategies/messaging per category
o Partner with Marketing department in reaching new clients or extending the company offering into existing client base.
o Follow appropriate lead-follow-up strategies
o Manage an effective lead and sales pipeline which is detailed on the Signa Academy CRM system.
o Familiarize him/herself with the product offering of Signa Academy
o Collaborate with Operations teams to propose solutions to clients that are viable, sustainable and profitable.
o Ensure presentation and proposal inputs are researched and informed
o Contribute to review / development of a proposal and pitch content library, and system for
review of material according to product updates and market /client information
o Conduct sales pitches and support BDM team’s sales efforts
o Contribute towards development/review/update of winning pipeline analysis tools and conversion strategies
o Negotiate and close business deals that promote sustained revenue
o Develop quotes and proposals for clients
o Facilitate the generation of proposals from opportunities identified by SGR Strategic Relationship (SR) department. Deliver these proposals within a priority timeframe. Accurately communicate with the SR team about operational requirements and update and monitor proposals through SR to the point where a deal is closed.
o Ensure the closing win-loss ratios are recorded, analysed to inform improved strategies. innovation
o Ensure growth of new client base and profitable accounts
o Foster beneficial relationships with business partners, potential clients, and business contacts to attract new business thereby enhancing organization reputation.
Market Research
o Perform competitor analysis toward obtaining an increased market share
o Analyze market trends and competitor behaviour
o Keeps abreast of market information and provide market feedback to the company leadership
regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and inform/contribute to product generation/
and business development ideas.
o Periodically discuss examples of appropriate/effective advertising/campaigns and collaborate
with Client Liaison and Marketing on standards
Relationship Management
o Develop superior customer service relationships with prospects
o Source new partnering opportunities to advance goals and bring them forward to business leaders to ensure alignment
o Provide baseline research within targeted accounts to identify key contacts and critical
account information prior to prospecting call
o Primary business contact for post-deal management of deals in which he/she was involved
directly through SAC or through the SGR SR department, including resolving contractual
issues, managing, and negotiating any amendments and preparing post-deal reporting to
the executive team
o Working closely with other departments and finding opportunities to cross sell
o Work closely with Client-Liaison ensuring alignment on business growth imperatives o Ensure the successful value-chain relationships and management of Business initiatives by
ensuring effective Sales -Ops hand-offs Monitor and keep abreast of client expectations
and experiences; and ensure collaboration through the internal value chain for effective
communication and an optimal feedback loop
o Be a “brand ambassador” that represents the company’s brand and values, ethics and ethos
Compliance and Administration
o Be completely up to date with relevant legislation inclusive of but not limited to B-BBEE, Tax, Skill legislation and the various Charters/sector codes’; and maintain a sound understanding of SETA landscape
o Comply to all company policies and procedures
o Keep CRM updated with each lead, deal, activity on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
o Provide weekly/monthly/quarterly activity report to the BDM
o Compile daily, weekly and monthly reports on pipeline and status of each client
o Attend weekly and monthly internal meetings to provide feedback and update on pipeline business
o Record all negotiating with potential customers and the closing of sales deals
o Ensuring all administration relating to sales is completed and filed effectively within governance and policy framework and practices
o Conduct monthly analysis of lead and sales figures.
o Ensure sales pipeline is regular, meaningful and reflects a reasonably reliable and healthy
projection of revenue
